Rocío Alaiz Rodríguez

Rocío Alaiz Rodríguez received the B.Sc. degree in electrical engineering from the University of Valladolid, Spain, in 1999, and the Ph.D. degree from the Carlos III University of Madrid, Spain, in 2005. She is currently a Full Professor at the Department of Electrical, Systems and Automation Engineering, University of León, Spain. She has been as a visiting researcher in Canada (the University of Alberta and the University and the University of Ottawa) and in Ireland (University College Dublin and University of Maynooth).

Research interest: Machine Learning:  learning under uncertainty (minimax strategies and quantification), neural networks, feature selection and its application to fields like image processing, natural language processing, quality assessment and cybersecurity.
