Víctor González received the B.S degree in Computer Science from the University of León (Spain) in 2006 and a PhD in Computer Science from the same University in 2011.
He has worked as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the École Nationale Supérieure des Mines de Saint-Étienne (France) between May 2013 and October 2014. After that, he moved to Edinburgh, where he worked as a «Row Fogo Lecturer in Medical Image Analysis» at the Centre for Clinical Brain Sciences of the University of Edinburgh until January 2017.
He is currently a Lecturer (Assistant Professor) at the Department of Electrical Engineering of the University of Leon. His main research lines are in the field of Computer Vision and Pattern Recognition, applied to medical image, quality assessment and ciber-security. He has been the co-author of more than 10 papers published in high impact factor journals, more than 30 papers published in conference proceedings and co-inventor of 5 licenced patents.
Research interests: Computer Vision. Pattern Recognition, Texture analysis and classification, Object recognition, Retrieval systems, Medical image analysis.
