abstract = {Project management is a key part of engineering curricula worldwide, often focused on balancing quality, cost, and schedule. However, ethics, social responsibility, and sustainability are also crucial for project success, as they ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and local values. This paper analyzes how ethics, social responsibility, and sustainability are addressed in two widely-used project management standards: the Project Management Book of Knowledge (PMBoK) and the Individual Competence Baseline for Project, Program & Portfolio Management (ICB). An analytical framework is designed for a desk research of these standards.},

abstract = {This study explores the challenges and opportunities for improving teaching and learning in higher education institutions with diverse student backgrounds. A case study was conducted with students from the University of León and the University of Xiangtan, who took a project management course in Spanish. The study assessed students' knowledge, competence, and perceptions of the course, which included lectures, exercises, seminars, and assignments. While students generally had positive perceptions, barriers included difficulties in teamwork, course organization, limited engagement in projects, and language challenges for students without a B2 Spanish certificate. The findings help identify strategies to enhance teaching in diverse engineering environments.},

abstract = {This paper explores the role of project complexity parameters in modeling effort estimates, emphasizing the increasing attention complexity has received in project management. Traditional methods often fail in real-world applications, highlighting the need for innovative approaches. The study extends previous research by analyzing the impact of complexity using classical linear models and artificial neural networks on the International Software Benchmarking Standards Group dataset. Results demonstrate the benefits of incorporating complexity into models and show that artificial neural networks better capture the intricate nature of complex projects.},
